Stepan Graffe-Violin



   Stepan Graffe was born in 1980 in Prostejov, graduated at Brno Conservatory under leading of Jiri Besperat, then studied at Janacek Academy of Performing Arts in Brno under leading of Prof. Rudolf Stastný, the former 1st violinist of Moravian Quartet. He graduated in 2005 and received the Master of Arts diploma. Since during his studies he received several prizes on competitions as well as soloist and chamber player (for eg. Competition of Czech Conservatories, Beethovenův Hradec International Competition.) He also took part in number of masterclasses under leading of e. g. Perti Sutinen (Finland), Milan Vítek (Denmark/USA), Milos Vacek (Janacek Quartet, CZ). As a soloist Stepan Graffe performed concerts with Ars Collegium chamber orchestra, Brno Philharmonic chamber orchestra, Musici Boemi orchestra. Stepan Graffe is member of Ars Collegium chamber orchestra and artistic director since 1998.
